Sea World with Friends

Yesterday was so great! We love our friends from Mission Bay, and we had a chance to meet up with them and their three girls at Sea World. The kids had a fantastic time, and I spent most of the day taking pictures of them and being a slave to the two younger girls, Dorian and Devyn.

We ran into them after the Dolphin Show and we were glued together for the entire day. The kids rode Atlantis, while we adults stood by trying to remember what it was like to actually WANT to get wet. There are pictures of the kids HERE.

What do you do after you get the kids soaking wet? Take them to the Arctic Circle of course! While waiting in line, little Dorian (who informed me that she is now a double-digit-midget i.e. 10 years old) got a hold of my camera and started snapping shots of me. That’s what you see up above. Yeah she took a lot of pictures! Throughout the Arctic exhibit (and most of the day) she acted as my tow-truck. She especially got a kick out of the ruminating walrus, who kept barfing up his fish and eating it over and over again.

From there, we checked out the penguins, the manatees, and the sharks. It was then, that my ownership traveled from Dorian to the middle-child, Devyn, who was bored. A bit of hanging out and a few piggy-back rides later, she was all smiles, but for some reason, she didn’t want to feed the sea lions. Stinky fish and Devyn don’t mix well.

Before we knew it, the time had come to leave (school today), but not without having dinner together first. That has become customary among our two families. All in all, it was a great time, and I can’t wait to see them all again!

You can see more of the story at Debra’s Whrrl Page Here!

I’ll post some more photos on my facebook…

This is what happens when Dorian gets a hold of your camera and starts snapping!
